Why convert credit card statement PDFs?

A credit card statement is not shaped like a bank statement. There is usually no running balance per line; instead each charge has both a transaction date and a posting date, a merchant, often a category, and an amount where payments and credits run the opposite sign to purchases. Reusing a bank-statement layout loses exactly the columns that make a card statement useful.

People convert card statements to total spend by category, separate business charges from personal, find a forgotten subscription, or hand a clean list to an accountant. Doing that by re-keying a multi-page PDF — where charges wrap across lines and the totals sit in a summary box — is slow and easy to get wrong.

TablePix rebuilds the card-statement table on its own terms: transaction date, posting date, merchant/description, category and a signed amount column (purchases positive, payments and refunds negative), each on its own row, so you can sort by merchant, sum by category, and reconcile against the statement total.

Credit card statement conversion — FAQ

Yes. Card statements carry both dates and TablePix keeps them in their own columns rather than merging them, so you can sort or reconcile by either one.
